Police had intended to saw down the door of another apartment on the same floor as part of a drug and weapons raid tied to a gang in the city. The FBI has apologized to Sanchez and is paying for her damaged door.

A section of I-580 at I-80 is completely destroyed after an oil tanker overturned, caught fire and exploded just before 4 a.m. Sunday. Only the driver of the truck was hurt. He was able to climb out of the passenger side of the cab and hail a taxi to the hospital. He was treated for second-degree burns. The tanker was carrying 8,600 gallons of gasoline. The CHP said speed was a factor in the accident, which started with an explosion on the upper deck of a connector ramp. The ramp collapsed onto the lower deck after heat from the explosion and fire melted through the upper roadway, according to the CHP.
